Ollie Ollerton

Ollie Ollerton

Ollie Ollerton is an entrepreneur, author and an Ex-Special Forces Soldier and cornerstone of the team that brought the Special forces into the public eye with the Channel Four series SAS: Who Dares Wins, and CEO of Break-Point, an organisation for both public and corporate that focuses on changing peoples limiting beliefs and performance. Matthew "Ollie" Ollerton has undertaken countless counterterrorism missions and humanitarian efforts as part of the United Kingdom’s Special forces. Struggling with suicidal thoughts, he looked to spiritual psychology to help regain balance in his life and now shares those learnings with others through his Company, Break-Point. [8]

Early Life

Ollie Ollerton attended Abbot Beyne School and he has looked death in the eye more times than most, having been involved in a freak accident as a child and coming under attack in Iraq.

Career

Ollie Military Career

Ollie’s Military career began at the age of 18 when he joined the Royal Marine Commandos and toured operationally in Northern Ireland & Operation Desert Storm in Iraq.

Upon his return to the United Kingdom Ollie was recommended for SAS Special Forces Selection after five years service with Commando’s. Upon completion of the grueling 6 months selection process Ollie was one of 5 candidates to pass selection from an initial 250 that started the course. On completion of SAS selection Ollie then joined the Special Boat Service, (SBS) to undergo further training to qualify as a Special Forces Combat Frogman.

During his six years in the SBS he undertook a number of high profile missions in a variety of locations both on land and sea.

Ollie’s missions included hostage rescue, counter narcotics, counter terrorism, homeland security, counter insurgency operations and humanitarian efforts.

Ollie also qualified as a pilot of the Submersible Dive Vessel (SDV), a mini sub used to insert Special Forces Combat Soldiers behind enemy lines.[5]

Ollie as the Founder and Managing Director at Break-Point

Once Ollie returned to the UK in 2014 after 13 years overseas, he started developing a concept that would put these years of training and experience to best use and would benefit others.

With this, Break-Point was born; a leadership and development course aimed at the public and corporate sector also supporting veterans suffering the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Soon after this in 2015, Ollie first appeared on Channel 4’s ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’, a show whereby Ollie and other ex-Special Forces operatives recreate the SAS’ secret selection process with 30 recruits. Since then, the show has grown into one of Britain’s best loved shows, attracting over 3 million viewers per episode.[4][6]
