In March 2019, Olivia Jade's parents were identified as two of the dozens of people accused of cheating to get their children into elite colleges. In an investigation, her parents were described as having paid multiple bribes amounting to $500,000 in order to have Olivia and her sister, Isabella, listed as recruits for the University of Southern California's university’s rowing team despite neither of them having participated in crew.
