On May 6th, 2017, Nicole pitched to Chinese investors in Beijing about investing in several of the Kushner Companies' projects. The event was hosted by the Chinese company Qiaowai, which helps connect U.S. companies with Chinese investors. [undefined] They include a $976.4 million housing development in Jersey City, New Jersey known as One Journal Square which needs $150 million in financing. The money would be provided through Eb-5, a government program that provides foreign investors a path to citizenship in exchange for investments of at least $500,000 in U.S. development projects. [undefined] In China, the Eb-5 is known as the "golden visa" for its utility of moving wealthy Chinese families and assets into the United States. [undefined]

The brochure handed to investors was titled 'Invest $500,000 and immigrate to the United States.' During the presentation, Nicole advised investors to act quickly in case immigration laws change.

[undefined] The event underscores the Kushner family's proximity to the White House as they attempt to execute business deals and court investors.
