Nia Green is a 16 year old girl living in Savannah, Georgia. She is originally from Chicago, Illinois. Her mother is Shanavia Miller. Nia is currently a student and also works at McDonald's.

She has a Facebook page with over 20,000 likes where she posts pictures of herself and entertaining videos. ^[1]

Shanavia, Nia Green's mother insulted, swore at, punched, pushed and slapped Nia with a piece of plywood, after finding out Nia Green had posted a picture of herself in only a towel with her boyfriend. Shanavia filmed and streamed the video of the beating on Facebook as further punishment for Nia .

Shanavia also took over Nia's Facebook profiles as punishment.

The video was viewed over 10,000 times, with several viewers calling on the police to investigate.

The Savannah Police Department said that the video they haven’t heard anything about the incident.

According to Facebook post on Nia's page, she went to the hospital after the beating after suffering from headaches and an anxiety attacks. She also apologized for embarrassing her mother, Shanavia in the post.

In another post on Nia's profile, Shanavia says that she loves Nia, and that after the punishment Nia learned her lesson.
