Muhammad Lila is a Canadian journalist hailing from Toronto. He is a global multiplatform correspondent at CNN, specializing in strategy and execution, delivering content across all CNN channels (mobile, social, digital, TV) with an emphasis on using emerging technologies to build new models of audience engagement. Education
Muhammad Lila graduated from University of Toronto with a Bachelor's degree in political science and philosophy. He went on to attend Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, receiving an M.S. in journalism.
Career
Prior to joining CNN, he was a Correspondent and Bureau Chief for ABC News, where he was the only Correspondent to file for all ABC News platforms, including Good Morning America, World News Tonight, and Nightline, plus ESPN, Fusion, and Yahoo Originals.
He averaged 100+ flights a year, has been to the frontlines of nearly every major conflict over the past three years, and received the distinction of being given a personal audience at the home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Lima is also a fill-in anchor for ABC's World News Now, broadcast out of New York.
