Mersiv is a native of Shreveport. He originally started releasing music under the name BENOIT.Bass on his Bandcamp and SoundCloud. He started DJing in 2012 after hearing deadmau5 at a power but only get into producing original music in 2015. Anderson's influences include Nero, Foreign Beggars, Bassnectar, Zeke Beats, The Widdler, and G Jones. His music has been described as a dark-loud style of bass with a dreamy melodic structure. Mersiv has played at festivals such as Electric Forest, Kosmic Kingdom, and more.
