Melvin Adams (born 1971) is a public speaker and a former Harlem Globetrotter. He passion is to change the total teenage Culture in America; he has spoken to over 4 million kids worldwide.[9]
Early Life & Education
Melvin Adams graduated from Eisenhower High School. During those years, he led the district in assists and steals, and averaged 16 points per game for the Eisenhower Eagles.[10]
Career
After college, Melvin Adams continued to focus on basketball and was given the opportunity to play professionally.
He later joined the Harlem Globetrotters and was named Mr. Globetrotter numerous times, an award is presented yearly to the teammate that most exemplifies the excitement and energy associated with the team.
On March 17, 2000, Adams decided to retire from the Harlem Globetrotters to become a public speaker.[10]
As a speaker, Adams has spoken at school assemblies, corporate events, Upward Closing Ceremonies, mensโ groups, basketball clinics/camps, prisons and other youth events.[9]
Personal Life
He currently resides in Houston, Texas with his wife and two sons.
