Melissa Goodwin (25 years old) is a professional Bodybuilder, and also a Prison officer. On May 2020, she was accused of allegedly having Sexual encounters on five separate occasions with an inmate at the state’s largest jail, the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC).^[1]

Corrective Services New South Wales (CSNSW) temporarily stood Melissa Goodwin down from her job in April 2020 while they investigated the nature of the relationship between her and Caleb Valeri an aspiring rapper who is also a former prisoner with a bikie gang association, they have appeared on social media posts together. Earlier this year she posed happily alongside two fellow prison officers on the front cover of the March-April edition of the Corrective Services New South Wales (CSNSW) magazine. Although she wasn't arrested because of her assocation with the former inmate, she was arrested because Caleb tipped the Officers at CSNSW about Melisssa's sexual relationship with an inmate.^[2]

Ms Goodwin was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with public office misconduct and engaging in a relationship with an inmate, causing a safety risk. She was also charged with smuggling in contraband to the prisoner. Police alleged she smuggled tobacco, cigarette lighters and chewing gum to inmate Corey London, 21.

At the time of her arrest, Ms Goodwin was already subject to a Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) security investigation for her association with an aspiring rapper, Caleb Valeri.

Ms Goodwin has been granted bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on July 14.^[3]

The alleged seven-month relationship between Ms. Goodwin and the inmate dates back to November 2019, but was only now being investigated as a result of an alleged tip-off.^[4]

The inmate she had an affair with, Corey London, has reportedly been transferred from the Silverwater Correctional Complex at Silverwater in western Sydney to Long Bay Correctional Centre for reasons including the security and association of the prisoner with others. ^[5]
