Matt Easton (born February 26, 1991) is a rapper, Songwriter, music producer and musician, his sound is a solid melding of indie rock music and rap. He released his first mixtape called "Intro to Public Speaking" and which he produced himself in 2010.[1]
Early Life
He was born and raised in Cook County, Chicago Illinois on the 26th of February 1991, he grew up with his sister named Dana. He attended University of Kansas, where he graduated with degrees in sociology and business. He later appeared on season two of The X-Factor USA on Fox but did not make it past the auditions. He has a sister named Dana.[4] Matt's astrological sign is Pisces.
Career
Matt Easton, a Chicago-born emcee, producer, and alternative hip-hop recording artist, Matt Easton has entirely self produced three mixtapes, "Intro To Public Speaking", "Old Hickory" and also his, "The Rhetorical Tradition". Each tape features original beats and lyrics that have made Easton one of hip-hop's most coveted young acts.
In 2015, he released his debut EP titled "The Phantom Image"
"I'm 29 years old, I produce all of my music, I make all of the beats, I rap on all of the songs"
He is a self-taught beatmaker and multi-instrumentalist, Easton spent the ensuing years at the University of Kansas, where he graduated with degrees in sociology and business, but along with his studies, he continued to hone his production skills.
During that time he appeared on the second season of the X Factor, performed with artists like Timeflies, Aer, G-Eazy, Asher Roth, Kids These Days, Chuck Inglish, and Huey Mack, and released a flurry of mixtapes, including Old Hickory, The Rhetorical Tradition, and Grey Area.
In 2015, Easton inked a deal with 300 Entertainment and issued the Phantom Image EP, which featured the hit "Sex with Exes."[3] Easton is acquainted with Joey Badass.
