Education
MaryAlice Parks graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor's degree in history and political science. She also received a Master's degree in Broadcast journalism and documentary Film from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. [1]
Career
MaryAlice Parks first joined ABC News as a Frank Reynolds fellow in September 2013. In 2014-2015, she worked as a Producer of This Week with George Stephanopoulos. During that time, she covered Ukraine/Russia, kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls, Pope Francis trip to Holy Land, violence in Iraq, Syria, United States border crisis, and 2016 politics. From 2015-2017, Parks was a Campaign Digital Journalist and Capitol Hill Reporter and Producer.[1]
In 2017, Parks became a Political Reporter and Acting Deputy Political Director for all platforms at ABC News. She was talking to anchors, correspondents and local radio and broadcast affiliates across the country each day and offering analysis each morning for their tip sheet, The Note. Currently, Parks is a Deputy Political Director for ABC News.[1]
