Marinna Rollins was a United States Army veteran. She lived in Fayetteville, NC.
Career

Rollins joined the Army in February 2014.
She worked as a multimedia illustrator and served abroad in South Korea.
In January 2017, Rollins was allowed to retire after being diagnosed with PTSD. She had the rank of Private, which is the lowest rank in the Army. [4]
Animal Cruelty

In April 2017, Rollins was charged with animal cruelty and conspiracy for shooting her service dog, Cammy, while her boyfriend Jarren Heng filmed her and cheered her on. Rolling had received the dog from the army to help her cope with PTSD. Before shooting him, she had tried to find Cammy a new home. [8]
But Rollins and Heng are held on bail of $25,000 following requests from prosecutors.
Rollins’ bail initially was set at $10,000 Tuesday, while Heng’s was set at $5,000 after his arrest Monday night.
Rollins claims Cammy was sick and she was putting him out of his misery.
Death
After receiving numerous death threats for her treatment of Cammy, Rollins committed suicide.
