Luly Bossa

Luz Helena Bossa Brieva (Cartagena, Colombia, May 14, 1964) is a Colombian actress.[2] She is best known for her appearances in television soap operas such as El Zorro, la espada y la rosa, El baile de la vida, Isabel me la veló, Las Vega's and La ley del corazón, among many others.

Life and career

Bossa was raised in Barranquilla and was part of the volleyball team of her department.

In 1984 she was looking to be the successor to Susana Caldas lemaitre, for the departmental crown of Señorita Bolivar, which Sandra Borda obtained this title.

At the age of 23 she made her debut on Colombian television by starring in the TV series Navarro, directed by Carlos Duplat.

In 1992, she gained notoriety by posing half-naked in a pregnant state for the cover of a national magazine, emulating the American actress Demi Moore.

Bossa saw her private life affected in the late 1990s due to the controversy over the unauthorized publication of an intimate video, which brought her to the courthouse after suing journalist Graciela Torres, better known as "La Negra Candela", for disseminating such material causing personal harm.

In 2016, the actress decided to write a book called Fuego entre las piernas, where she recounts her life in detail after the video graphic material in the form of a catharsis.

She has participated in several telenovelas, including El cuento del domingo, Azúcar, La posada, Ana de Negro, Herencia maldita, Amor sin fronteras, La sombra del deseo, Isabel me la veló, La lectora, Las noches de Luciana, El baile de la vida and Por amor a Gloria. In addition to her television work, she made a foray into filmmaking with the film El carro (2003). Her most recent appearances were in the telenovelas Amores de mercado, La Teacher de Inglés, 5 viudas sueltas and Esmeraldas.[1]

Discography

Due to her participation in the musical soap opera "El baile de la vida", Bossa made her debut as a singer, performing original singles from the TV series such as "Semilla de Odio", "Veneno" and "Amor prohibido".
