Loreal Tsingine was a 27 year old Navajo woman from Winslow, Arizona.

On March 27, 2016 Loreal was shot and killed by Police Officer Austin Shipley.

^[3]An altercation with police led to her death.

Officers responded to a shoplifting call around 4 p.m. at a Circle K off 4th Street at Williamson Ave. ^{[3] [4]}

After locating a woman matching the description of the suspect a few blocks west of the store, Winslow Police say a struggle ensued.

Police Officer Austin Shipley said Tsingine displayed a weapon that posed a "substantial threat" to him.

Tsingine had a case of beer and a pair of scissors in her possession at the time of her death.

She was shot 5 times.
