Liza Treyger is an American comedian that as appeared on Comedy Central as well as the Laugh Factory. She is Jewish and emigrated from Ukraine to Chicago, Illinois during the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1990.
Liza Treyger is known for her self-deprecating comedy and for making heavy women feel more comfortable joking about their weight.
Early Life
Liza Treyger grew up in the Chicago suburb of Skokie.
Education
Treyger attended Niles North High School, where she was the class clown. She briefly attended Iowa State University and Columbia College Chicago before transferring to North Park University. Treyger began performing standup when she was invited to perform at an open-mike event while a student at North Park University in North Center.
Career
Treyger moved from Chicago to NYC in 2014.
Prior to her move, she had began performing comedy in Chicago in 2009 and had amassed a cult following.
