Lissette Gonzalez is an American On-Air Meteorologist, TV Host and a Reporter who currently work at CBS 4 News. she has been serving at CBS4 ( 5 a.m to 9.am ) as morning and afternoon noon Meteorologist since 2007. She is a former Miss Miami, Miss Florida and was once the runner up to Miss America in 1998. She has been opportune to serve as a the guest Meteorologist at the National CBS This Morning's newscast. Lissette connect with her viewers easily with her charming smile, personality and the ease with which she delivers her weather news in an easy and thorough way.
Education and Early Life
Lissette Gonzalez was born and raised in Miami and she graduated from the University of Mississippi with double honors in Journalism and Music-Vocal Performance. While in School, she was able to practice journalism and also also add some other skills because she serves as an anchor for UMTV as a sophomore. Her talents has secured a lot of jobs and opportunities for her even outside her field. She was also able to earn the National Weather Association (NWA) Television Weathercaster Seal of Approval.
She competed for won the Miss University of Miami pageant, Miss Miami, Miss Florida and also a runner up to Miss American. All the money gathered from these contest was used to further her education.
Career
Lissette previously worked at KTLA where she anchor the evening weather Prime News in Los Angeles, California, During this time, her weather cast was recognized with a Mark Twain Award for "Best Weather Segment" by the Associate Press Association and she was also nominated for Los Angeles Emmy Award. At KTLA, asides from her weather cast, she also cover entertainment news from different award shows and events. She joined CBS4 News as a Meteorologist in 2007 and she has spent over 13 year at the station already.
She already had a good career that is not limited to weather broadcast alone on the national and local level because she has been privilege to host a lot of great events in the entertainment world as well.
She is also passionate about music and once sung the National Anthem at Dolphin games and at Sony Ericsson.[13][14][15]

She once team up with Jeff Berardelli, her fellow meteorologist, to raise funds for Broward victim and also host Strike Out Cancer events to help Children's Cancer Caring Center.
