Lisa Spooner was born on November 10, 1967, in England but moved with her folks to the United States when she was 10 years of age. She attended and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in news coverage. She is happily married.

Lisa Spooner worked for CBS 19 in Tyler, Texas for some years before she joined her present station NBC 2.
