Lisa Fernandes is a New York chef who competed on Top Chef (season 4) and finished as a runner-up to Stephanie Izard along with Richard Blais.
Early Life
Lisa Fernandes was born in Toronto, Canada and has been drawn to the flavors of Asian cuisine since a young age, she moved to New York City where she decided food was her passion and career choice. [1]
Education
At age 17, she attended Johnson & Wales University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in food service management.[1]
She moved to southern Florida to diversify her cooking palate, learning the art of Latin food.
Career
With a passion for Asian food, she moved back to New York to get involved with more Asian restaurants, working at Asia de Cuba, Rain and then Public.
She always exercises Asian flair in her dishes and has taught herself a lot about the cuisine.
She also hopes to open an Asian influenced restaurant in New York in the years to come.
