Dylan Shusterman (born March 3rd, 2000), better known as Lil Dumbo, is a rapper from Monroe, New Jersey. His most popular songs include "Bodak Blanco" and "Rockstar." [1]

Early Life

Shusterman was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and grew up in Monroe, New Jersey. His parents are immigrants from Russia and he has one younger sister named Isabella. Shusterman's father is a dentist and mother is a psychologist. Shusterman comes from a musical family; his mom was a singer, his grandma was a pianist, and his great-grandfather was a guitarist. Shusterman has been passionate about music since an early age. He was exposed to a wide variety of genres and enjoyed listening to hip-hop, R&B, 80's rock, and classical. Shusterman graduated from Monroe Township High School and is currently a student at the University of Maryland.

Shusterman's musical inspirations include Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Tory Lanez, Bryson Tiller, Young Thug, and others. Shusterman chose the name "Lil Dumbo" from the character Dumbo who was ridiculed for having big ears but revered once he discovered that he could use his ears to fly. In comparison, many people doubted Lil Dumbo's rapping abilities due to his background of being from a suburban town but once they heard his music they were taken aback by his talent. Talent is Lil Dumbo's way to fly.
In July 2017, Lil Dumbo released his 1st studio singe "Rockstar" featuring Vinny Circs who is another rapper who lives in Shusterman's hometown of Monroe.
The next month, Lil Dumbo released the single "Real One."
In December 2017, he released the album "Circus" with Vinny Circs and singer Kim Caputo.
In the future, Lil Dumbo has a song coming out with King Los titled "Hard to be Humble" and has an album coming out in the summer of 2018. Shusterman describes his music style as fun, meaningful, and meant to bring joy to a lot of people. He prides himself on his versatility and being able to sing and rap.
Nick Filchy first heard Lil Dumbo accidentally when his sound engineer began playing his music while they were chilling with friends at the engineer's house. Filchy and Shusterman were friendly in high school, but lost touch after Filchy graduated. They reconnected after Filchy heard his music and subsequently became his manager. Utilizing the Bangerbuddy brand, Filchy has been able to promoted Lil Dumbo and his music on the Bangerbuddy Instagram, through Bangerbuddy sponsored events, and helped him get shout outs from Supreme Patty and Victoria Waldrip (woahhvicky) as well as hang out with Lil Pump backstage after his concert. Lil Dumbo performed with Famous Dex in November 2017 and will be performing with Troy Ave and Supreme Patty in April 2018. As of April 2018, Lil Dumbo had over 52k followers on Instagram.
