Liam Mango (January 11th, 2013) is a Swedish boy who went viral and became the subject of headlines news across the world after H&M revealed a racist modeling campaign photo of Mango wearing a sweater that said, "Coolest Monkey in the Jungle". ^{[0] [1]}

Mango was born in Sweden to Kenyan parents and has lived in the city of Stockholm for most of his life. ^{[2] [14] [0]}

On Monday, January 8th, 2018, a photo of Liam modeling an outfit for H&M with a green sweater with the message "coolest Monkey in the Jungle", was released to the internet. ^{[10] [3]}Within hours the photo went viral around the world for its racist depiction of a black boy, and millions of people criticizing and responding to it. On the same day of the release of their ad campaign that featured the photo, H&M offered an apology. ^[1]

LeBron James, Sean Diddy Combs and The Weeknd were among the celebrities who slammed the advert. Consumers have also called for a boycott of H&M. ^[5]
