Laura Govan (born on September 21, 1979) is a reality TV star. She is the ex-fiancée of former NBA all-star Gilbert Arenas.
She appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of the VH1 reality series Basketball Wives: LA.
Early Life & Education
Laura Govan was hit by a drunk driver when she was just seven years old. She remained in a coma for three months. Upon awaking, had to relearn everything from walking to talking.
She was a basketball player in high school, averaging 30 points per game.
Her athleticism earned her a full-ride scholarship to New Mexico State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in International Business and a Master's degree in Sports Psychology.
Personal Life
She and Gilbert had four kids together named Aloni, Hamiley, Alijah and Izela.
She was born in Oakland, California and has sisters named Gloria and Lonnie.
On June 6, 2016 Gilbert Arenas apologized for his negative comments regarding their four children and alleges that Laura set him up.
