Education
Lara Seligman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in English literature.
Career
Before her present job at Foreign policy, Lara Seligman filled in asThe Pentagon proofreader for Aviation Week and Space Technology.
Seligman started her profession as a military journalist covering Navy aeronautics and shipbuilding forInside Defense, prior to moving over to cover the Air Force for Defense News.
Before moving to the guard beat in 2013, she covered Congress and governmental issues, first for National Journal and afterward for The Hill.
Grants
In 2018, she won the Jesse H. Neal Award for Best Range of Work by a Single Author, won the Military Reporters and Editors Association James Crawley Award for protection revealing, and was chosen for the 2017 McAllister Editorial Fellowship.
In 2017, she won the Aerospace Media Awards Best Young Journalist grant.
