The soap opera is broadcast and distributed internationally under the name of La Costeña y el Antonio only in Ecuador.

In 2015, Televisa produced an adaptation entitled La vecina, starring Juan Diego Covarrubias and Esmeralda Pimentel, by the producer Lucero Suarez.[1][2]

Plot

Antonio Andrade is an oil engineer who is used to life in the capital.

Due to certain circumstances he is forced to move to the coastal city of Santa Marta, where it is almost impossible for him to adapt to the calm and peaceful life of the inhabitants of the coast, even earning the dislike of some of his neighbors and co-workers.

Now, he must get used to life under the hot sun where he meets Sofia Granados, a typical young coastal woman with whom he falls madly in love, although his first encounters will not be pleasant.

To be together they will have to fight against past relationships that do not want to leave them alone.
