Knowledge The Pirate is an artist and the CEO of Treasure Chest Entertainment who hails from Pennsylvania. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the game such as Teddy Riley, Pharrell and Alchemist.^[1]

Early Life

Knowledge The Pirate was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in the streets because he didn't know his father and his mother was on drugs. His name is Knowledge but the "Pirate" came to his mind when he was just 12 years old and still learning about who he really was:

"I was on the street corner early, like a nigga gave me a pack of crack when I was 13 and I was out there.
My mom was on drugs and I didn’t know my father so I felt like I had no family.
So the pirate shit comes form my lifestyle, not having no family and growing up in the street and working out how to survive.
That pirate shit is a lifestyle and to that I’m a knowledgeable person and I like to read and study, so it’s like my Ying and my Yang.
I mean I’m still a wild dude, and you can either meet Knowledge or you can meet the Pirate, you know?"

He figured out he could sing just when he was about to have his first son.

He saw music as a way to do something to provide for the child. He was first discovered from a battle rap by Charlie Mark.^[21]

Career

He came into the music business in the 90's and counts himself as a member of the rapper Roc Marciano’s inner circle. He came up alongside KA, who was nominated as recording the best New York City rap album of the year in 2013.^[21]

He released his debut album "Flintlock" in 2018, featuring Roc Marciano as the only rapper on the album. The album is a 15 track project that features production from Roc Marciano, Elemnt, Mushroom Jesus, and Knowledge himself.^[1]

Knowledge The Pirate has worked with mega stars such as Will Smith, Teddy Riley, Pharrell Williams, Rodney Jerkins and Roc Wilder. Over the last few years Knowledge has been collaborating with his close friend and music partner Roc Marciano, navigating the way to ushering back that true New York sound that became a thing of the past. With Classic projects like Marcberg, Marci Beaucoup, Pimpire strikes back, Rosebudds Revenge, RR2 the Bitterdose. ^[19]^[20]

He has an Instagram account with over 6k followers. He also manages a YouTube channel with 1.85k subscribers and 170k views as of April 2020.^[16]^[17]
