Klondike Blonde (born April 28, 1997) is a rapper and a Songwriter hails in Atlanta. She is popular for her songs "Love Letter" and "Drip." Her music success helped her to more than 340,000 followers on Instagram. At the age of 16, she had learnt to record, produce and engineer her own music.[1]
Early Life
Klondike Blonde (23 years old) was born on the 28th of April 1997 in Raleigh, North Carolina and raised in California's Bay Area, where she attended middle and high school. She has always had a passion for music, writing songs and poetry since elementary school, although It was not well known, as she was stuck behind the scenes.
Klondike Blonde learned sound engineering in a special class and spent her spare time recording in her school's studio. After graduating high school, she returned to the east coast, relocating to Atlanta to pursue music full-time. Klondike says that she had a strict, foreign born mother who thought she was crazy when she said she was moving to Atlanta to pursue her music. Klondike's astrological sign is Taurus.[7]
Career
February 2017, Blonde made her first attempt to break into the industry, by issuing her first single online, marking her first appearance as Klondike Blonde. She followed with "Big Gang Glocks" and "Love Letter," which helped her garner a wider grassroots audience.
It wasn't until the release of 2018's "Drip" that she reached an even larger audience.
The song was picked up by Michigan rap/dance duo Ayo & Teo, who started a viral dance challenge. With the fresh exposure, Blonde signed with L.A. Reid's Hitco label, releasing singles "Klondike" and "No Smoke" to cap off her breakthrough year. Blonde is acquainted with Killumantii.[9]
Her most personal single is “Love Letter”.
According to her, Love Letter was a song that she had in her head for a while.
She decided to finally look at some beats to record to and the first one she opened fit her melody.
She dragged the beat into logic and sat in front of her computer until the next day when she had finished the song.
She said:
I really found myself, my style, and my voice within this very song.[10]
Relationship
Klondike Blonde was in a relationship with Ayo from the duo Ayo and Teo, the two were a match and Ayo was a major help to her songs promotion, but the relationship did not last long as they broke up in 2019. She hasn't revealed being in any relationship after the break up, which means she is currently single.[8]
