Justin Carr was a student at Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina.
On Thursday morning, September 22nd, 2016, it was confirmed that Justin passed away from a gunshot in the head he received while forming part of the riot that took place in Charlotte over the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott.
Carr protested along with other demonstrators outside of the Omni Hotel when all of sudden Carr collapsed to the floor. He was shot in the head and was in critical condition for the next several hours at a nearby hospital. Authorities stated that he was shot by another civilian, but word on the street is that it was a police officer.
