On September 1, 2017, Roache was arrested in connection to the death of Kaytlynn Cargill. ^{[3] [4]}He is being held at the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. ^{[3] [4] [2]}

Cargill was allegedly murdered with a hammer after she was involved in a drug deal with Roache.

The deal involved a transaction of marijuana. ^{[3] [4] [2]}

Text messages showed that Kaytlynn planned to meet Roache near a pool in her apartment complex for a drug deal on June 19, 2017. Roache had been living in the same complex with his girlfriend and her mother at the time of Kaytlynn's death. ^{[3] [4] [2]}

A witness stated that Roache planned to give Kaytlynn marijuana so she and the witness could make dabs, which is a highly concentrated form of cannabis and sell them back to Roache for $300. ^{[3] [4] [2]}

When authorities searched the apartment where Roache had been staying, they found small areas of blood spatter in a hallway, on doors, on a door handle and in window blinds.

That blood was confirmed to be of Kaytlynn's.

On September 5, 2017, Roache made his first court appearance Tuesday afternoon in the Scott D. Moore Juvenile Detention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. ^{[1] [2]}

He will remain in juvenile custody as police continue to investigate the case.
