Cofer was shot and killed along with other eight other people on the night of August 4, 2019 in Dayton, Ohio. Investigators are trying to determine if Connor Betts intentionally killed his sibling, who was among the first victims, or if Betts' sibling was shot while trying to stop him. [2]
