After killing four people at a home on 2871 Lee Dr. SE, Godbolt drove to 1658 Coopertown Rd NE where Blackwell and his friends Austin Edwards were staying. He killed them both before going to another location where he killed another man and a woman. Godbolt intended to commit suicide by cop but ended up being captured by the authorities, where he confessed to his crimes after being inquired by a local reporter. Godbolt is currently in custody. It was later revealed that he died shielding his cousin from gunfire. [1]
