Career
Joe Avella started his career in 2003 as a Freelance Print Designer. In 2004-2005, he served as a Laser Form Designer at Automatic Data Processing. From 2005 to 2006, he was a Graphic designer at Sears Roebuck and Co., creating numerous posters, page layouts, and various printed materials from concept to completion. In 2007 Joe joined Schawk as a Production artist. There he worked in collaboration with art directors, account executives, photographers, and copywriters to create a weekly national supplement book for every major newspaper in the country. In 2010 he quit the company.
From 2011 to 2014, Joe worked at Groupon, firstly as an Image Designer and later as a Video producer. In 2015-2016, he worked as a Web Series Producer at AMC Networks, producing and directing the web series 'Video Frogs' for the Ifc.com Comedy Crib. In addition, from 2013 to 2016, he served as a Creative Content Partner at Collective Digital Studio.
Currently, Joe is a Video producer at Business Insider. He creates shareable content daily covering a wide array of topics including business, politics, tech, pop-culture, celebrities, health, and food from concept to release.
