Jessie Jane Duff served 20 years on active duty with the United States Marine Corps and retired from active duty as a Gunnery Seargant. She is currently a Senior Fellow with the London Center for Policy Research. Duff’s area of expertise include veterans, military and national security issues.
While on active duty, Jessie Jane Duff had multiple overseas deployments and combat related exercises. Jessie Jane Duff provided logistics and training support to combat arms and wing units throughout her career, including Desert Storm, the Iraq War, and the War in Afghanistan. In a collateral duty, Duff served on the Executive Staff to the Commander of Marine Forces Pacific, the largest operational command in the Marine Corps prior to her retirement. She completed her career as an Operations Chief.
From 2012– 2014, Jessie Jane Duff worked as Senior Military Advisor and was on the Organizing Committee for Concerned Veterans for America. In this role, Duff traveled the United States supporting policies with the goal of helping veterans and their families. Duff was an outspoken advocate to hold the Veterans Administration accountable for the veteran’s benefits backlog and mismanagement of veteran’s healthcare. She also actively worked with the state governments and the United States Congress to improve the military voting laws to ensure members of the military have the same access to voting as civilians.
Jessie Jane Duff was the spokesperson for Military Voting Rights USA from 2009-2012. Military Voting Rights USA is a national network dedicated to ensuring active duty military voters have their votes cast and counted on time. She made national media appearances and advocated for timely and expedited mail delivery of ballots to American service men and women stationed overseas. Jessie testified before Congress’ Elections Subcommittee, Committee on House Administration based on her first-hand experience and concerns about voting rights for active duty military overseas personnel. She also was an advocate for Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act (MOVE Act), which became federal Law the same year.
From 2005-2006, Jessie Jane Duff was Chairman for Americans for Dr. Rice, a national political 527 organization focused on Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her political future. As Chairman, she made multiple television appearances, traveled extensively to numerous state Republican party conventions and generated support for Dr. Rice nationwide.
