Jeffrey Selingo

Jeffrey Selingo is an award winning columnist and author based in Washington, D.C. He is He is the author of three books, the newest of which, There Is Life After College, a New York Times bestseller, College (Un)Bound: The Future of Higher Education, and What It Means for Students. [1]

Jeffrey Selingo is also a contributing writer at the Washington Post.

Education

Jeffrey Selingo graduated from Ithaca College in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in journalism. He later attended The Johns Hopkins University, graduating in 2001 with a Master's degree in government.

Career

He is a special advisor at Arizona State University, where he is the founding director of the Academy for Innovative Higher Education Leadership, a partnership between ASU and Georgetown University Georgetown University. Selingo is also a visiting scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology for 21st Century Universities.

Journalism

Selingo is the former top editor of The Chronicle of Higher Education, with operational, business development, and strategic experience. Previously, he was a reporter and editor at The Chronicle, and a reporter at various daily newspapers, including the Arizona Republic.

Awards

He has been honored with awards from the Education Writers Association, Society of Professional Journalists, and the Associated Press.
