James Hoffmann (born December 11, 1979), is the co-founder of Square Mile Coffee Roasters, and the Managing Director. Working in coffee since 2003, as a barista, barista trainer and more recently also as a speaker and consultant. He was the World Barista Championship in 2007 and also published "The World Atlas Of Coffee". ^{[1] [7] [8] [12]} Hoffman is also co-founder of Square Mile Coffee Roasters a multi-award-winning coffee roasting company, that was founded in 2008 by speciality coffee pioneers, Anette Moldvaer and him. ^[21]

Hoffmann graduated from Durham University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts. ^[10]

Hoffmann began his career at La Spaziale in the United Kingdom working on training and coffee education with wholesale partners from 2005 until 2007. ^[10]

In January 2015 he started Hoffmann Industries Ltd.

In 2019, he became a verified Brave (web browser) publisher. ^[1]
