Izabella Kaminska is a British journalist. She is currently a FT Alphaville Editor for the Financial Times . She has written about various financial topics, including cryptocurrency, Eurodollars, repurchase agreements. She is based in London.
Early Life & Education
Kaminska was born and raised in West London and is a second-generation Pole. Her knowledge of economics is rooted in a childhood fascination with ancient economies, specifically the agrarian land reforms of the early Roman Republic and the coinage and price stability reforms of late Roman emperors. Her favorite emperor is Diocletian.
Kaminska has a Bachelor of Arts in Ancient History from University College London. She earned her Master of Arts in Journalism from the London College of Communication.
Career
As an Associate Producer at CNBC from 2005 to 2008, Kaminska worked on the programs Squawk Box and Opec Coverage. She joined the Financial Times in 2008 as an Alphaville Reporter and became an Alphaville Editor in 2017.
She has spoken with several influential figures in her career, including Greece's former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis.
