Gontse Ntshegang (born 1 July 1983) Gontse Ntshegang is a South African actress best known for her role as street smart, sharp-witted Keketso Khoza, the manager of RTs, Johannesburg - the press hangout owned by Abbey (Michele Maxwell) - in the e.tv soapie Scandal!, from 2008-2010.
Early life
She born in Rustenburg, North West (South African province) on 1 July 1983, she resides in Johannesburg. She is multilingual, speaking English, Tswana, Zulu and Sotho.Gontse wanted to be a pharmacist when she grew up. Instead, she opted for the National School of the Arts, enrolling as a fine arts student, with a bit of drama, followed by full time drama at University of the Witwatersrand, which she dropped in her second year for physical theatre, set designs and film studies.[1]
Career
Her main credits includea role in the stage production, The Lion and the Jewel - alongside Scandal! cast members Nthati Moshesh and Sello Maake Ka-Ncube. She also appeared in the opening sequence for the DStv music station Channel O and had small roles on the drama series Yizo Yizo and Hillside. In 2012 she was cast as Mukhwevo Holdings marketer Mapule Modise in the SABC 2 2 soapie Muvhango, replacing Matshepo Maleme in the role. Her first appearance was on Thursday 16 August, 2012. Also in 2012, she guest starred in an episode of the international action series Strike Back. She is the narrator of the e.tv reality series Mahadi-Lobola, which showcases the complex processes in which different cultures in South Africa participate during Lobolo negotiations. The series began on eKasie+ in 2015 and was later acquired by e.tv.[2]
