Gabita, born Gabrielle Canales, is a woman from Brooklyn, New York. In the fall of 2017, she became Infamous for stealing the tip jar of Uber driver, Mohammed Bhuiyan. ^[1]

Canales is a part time Instagram model where she goes by "Gabita". She frequently posts photo shoots to thousands of followers.

Gabita was filmed stealing cash out of her Uber driver, Mohammed Bhuiyan's tip jar. ^[1] This was immediately after the driver had said "thank you, have a nice day".

The video was first posted on August 12, 2017 but gained attention in the following months. ^[1]

Prior to the theft, Gabita had posed for an underwear photoshoot in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. ^[1]

In response to a comment made on one of her Instagram photos, Gabita posted an extremely unapologetic message on Snapchat. Her argument is that she only stole a small amount of money that it was later returned and that the incident happened a while ago:

Uber has since deactivated Gabita's account.

Gabita defended her actions in an email to the New York Post, saying Boonk Gang does the same thing, but is not castigated because he is male. She also said she had apologized to the driver.

Gabrielle posted a photograph showing that she had paid back the money she had stolen in a tip from that same day.
