Fenit Nirappil is an American journalist based in Washington, D.C. He is a reporter at The Washington Post, covering D.C. government and politics. ^[1]

Fenit Nirappil graduated from Northwestern University in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in journalism and political science. He later attended American University, graduating in 2016 with a Master's degree in journalism and public affairs.

Prior to joining The Washington Post in August 2015, Nirappil was a reporter at the Associated Press and at The Oregonian.
