Elaina Plott is a White House correspondent for The Atlantic. Previously, she is a staff writer for the Washingtonian. ^[5]

Elaina Plott schooled at Yale University and majored in History. ^[7] During her tenure there, she served as the 94th chairman of the Tory Party, one of the oldest conservative debating societies within the Yale Political Union. ^[9] In addition, Plott was a Yale Journalism Scholar.

Elaina's work has appeared in the New York Observer, Fox News, Yale Daily News, Harper's Bazaar, Town & Country Magazine, Real Clear World, and The National Review. ^{[3] [7] [9]} In 2015, Elaina was an NRI Buckley Journalism Fellow. ^[9] Between 2016-2018, she worked as a Staff Writer at Washingtonian.^[7]

Currently, Elaina is writing a book about Frank Johnson and George Wallace for Penguin Press.^[2]

Elaina was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. ^[3] In 2012, she studied abroad in China and learned Mandarin Chinese. ^[7] In her free time, she enjoys books, anime, and bluegrass music. ^[1]
