Early Life
El Hitta hails from Chicago Illinois, where he was constantly in trouble with the law. From 2012 to 2017, El Hitta was shuffled back and forth throughout the legal system. He began rapping at the age of 14. In December 2016, the young rapper started taking his craft seriously. Initially, when he started rapping, El Hitta lacked the confidence needed to be successful. After spending 15 months in jail, he discovered his purpose and developed a new outlook on life. Following a stint in prison, he emerged revitalized and focused on a career in rap. The young Hitta was influenced by fellow Chicagoans G Herbo and Lil Durk.[1][2]
Career
Some of his earliest songs include “Because,” “Hitla Style,” and “We Outside.”
In 2017, he released a couple of tracks that didn't really gain attention even though each of them garnered thousands of streams online.
The following year, El Hitta became famous after releasing a series of hits.
2018 was really a great year for the Chicago rapper, he released his breakout single, "Aww Yea." In an interview, he explained that he wrote the song out of sheer desperation; he “felt like giving up.” Ironically, at one of his lowest moments, El Hitta produced his biggest hit. Since released, the track has garnered a staggering 7 million views on YouTube. It’s also performing well on Soundcloud[3] and Spotify raking in millions of streams. As a result, he has been contacted by several record labels. Various artists have also reach out to him regarding future work.
Some weeks later, he issued the raucous anthem "Gang Nem" with Prince Dee, which later landed on his official debut, 2018's Owe Nobody Nothing (Groovy Gang/Dub Life).
The track also established millions of streams online.
A remix of the track was later released featuring eLVy The God and Waka Flocka.
El Hitta released a few hit tracks between 2018 and 2019, includin “Burn One,” “Sacrifice” ft FBG Duck and Jucee Froot, and “Like Brothas.” AHis music videos have been featured on Worldstarhiphop. El Hitta recently released the mixtape, Owe Noboby Nothin. As of now, El Hitta is currently unsigned.
