Nathan Shaw, better known by the moniker Ekali, is an Electronic music producer who is originally from Vancouver, Canada. He is affiliated with the global music collective Flow-Fi and the Vancouver-based collective Chapel Sound.

Ekali was initially inspired to create music from playing Final Fantasy and listening to the composer Nobuo Uematsu's music in it. He originally started playing Violin at the age of 13, but lost interest in it in high and moved to playing bass instead and toured extensively with Said the Whale.
Ekali has been a part of the Vancouver music scene for some time now, playing in various bands as a basis. It was not until 2014 that Ekali turned to electronic music and cultivate his own sound. He has since gained a large traction of fans and followers on Social media. [1]
He has since collaborated with different artists across a variety of genres, including earning a writing credit on Drake's album, If You're Reading This It's Too Late. He has a growing fanbase and as of August 2017, Ekali had almost 150K followers on SoundCloud, over 58K likes on Facebook, almost 43K followers on Instagram, and 31K followers on Twitter. [1] In addition, Ekali has an active Facebook Group set up by his fans called Ekali's Trap House.
Ekali has a writing credit on a Drake record.
He has released music under OWSLA. On August 18th, 2017, Ekali released the single "Babylon" featuring Denzel Curry.
