Edward Nero
Edward Nero is a former Baltimore, Maryland police officer charged with the death of Freddie Gray. While Nero was arresting Gray he did not put a seat belt on him and forced his back in a position that caused spinal injuries. Gray passed away from these injuries. [1]
Edward Nero was announced not guilty on May 23, 2016 when Judge Barry G. Williams claimed there was not enough evidence to prove the charges true. After the trial both Nero and the Gray family spoke praises of the judge to media. [1]
