Early Life
Career
Kindred has been a Columnist for the Louisville Courier-Journal , the Washington Post , the, and Golf Digest . [10] He is a director of Indiana University's National Sports Journalism Center and an adjunct professor at Bradley University and his alma mater, Illinois Wesleyan University. [10] Some of the most notable things he covered were Joe Theisman leading the Washington Redskins to the Super Bowl and writing about the Dream Team in the 1992 Olympics. [13] At the end of his career, Kindred went back to his roots and started covering girls basketball at Morton High School. [17]

Dave's work has earned him the the Red Smith Award (sports journalism’s highest honor), Curt Gowdy Award (for outstanding contributions to basketball) as well as a National Headliner award for general-interest columns.
