Dark Lo
Dark Lo
Dark Lo also known as “The Crook”, is rapper from Philadelphia. He is best known for bringing his signature gritty delivery and street bars over smooth, soulful production.
Early Life
Dark Lo was born and raised in Philadelphia where he spent the majority of his young adult life in and out of prison. It wasn’t until Lo met AR-Ab that he turned his attention to hip. Despite always having a passion for music, AR-AB convinced Lo of his talent and he decided to take his craft to the next level. Over the past several years, Dark Lo has dropped multiple projects, including LPs Timeless and The Testimony and mixtapes The Crook, SK Tales, Darkaveli, and Ron Harvey Jr.[1][3]
Career
In 2019. Dark Lo released one of his best project titled "Bucket" which is an eight track album produced by Nicholas Craven with "Sky Dive“ and Win A Grammy”, being the opening and closing track from the album.
American Made is another solid project release from Dark Lo.
The project is arguably his best yet.
The singles “American Made,” and “Ripped Apart” (featuring Benny The Butcher) are highlights, but the whole album bangs.
Hard-ass lyrics, filled with social commentaries It’s high-time Dark Lo’s star starts rising outside Philadelphia too, and this album is a perfect vehicle for Dark Lo to gain wider recognition[2][4][5]
Dark Lo was arrested in Philly
Dark Lo, who is an associate of AR-AB, was picked up by police in his hometown.
The rapper is a known associate of AR-AB (nee Abdul Ibrahim West) who was also nabbed on narcotics distribution charges before and faces Life in Prison. Even though Dark Lo is a close associate AR-AB, it was thought that Dark Lo was keeping his head down and focussing on just music, especially with his recent project “Made In America.”
Dark Lo attended a few days of the trial, which was seen as supportive to AR-Ab and threatening to another witness.
According to a statement the rapper released on social media
"After three days of being in the courtroom to support his best friend, fellow rapper AR-AB, Dark Lo was approached by Federal Agents and told a government witness did not feel comfortable testifying with him in the courtroom.
Federal Agents then instructed Dark Lo to leave the courthouse until the witness finished testimony."
It seems that the main informant in the case wanted to be an OBH member, but he was denied and that made him really bitter.[19]
