Corey Hunter is an American teacher at Greene County High School in Greensboro, Georgia. In 2013, he was honored as one the Teachers of the Year.

Corey Hunter studied at at Albany State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in History. Hunter is the father of two boys.

In March 2016, he told one of his students at Greene County High School, "I have been around for 37 years and clearly, you are the dumbest girl that I have ever met". "You know what your purpose going to be? To have sex and have children, because you ain't gonna never be smart,".

The student he said these statements to was Shaniaya Hunter.

He is being sued by Ms. Hunter's family.

Corey Hunter resigned on March 14 after apologizing to the school board for whatever disruption he might have caused.
