Colby Itkowitz is an American journalist based in Washington, D.C Colby Itkowitz is a general assignment reporter at The Washington Post, covering health. ^[1]

Colby Itkowitz graduated from Hofstra University in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in journalism and political science.

While studying at university, Colby was an Editor-in-chief at Hofstra Chronicle. Colby Itkowitz started her career in 2005 as an Intern at Newsday. From 2005-2006, she worked as a Reporter at Lancaster Newspapers. From 2006-2009, she was a Reporter at Congressional Quarterly.^[2]

Prior to joining The Washington Post in March 2014, she was a Washington correspondent at The Morning Call. She covered the state's congressional delegation, as well as national politics and policy that pertained to Pennsylvania.

She is the partner of Chad Kurtz. They both have one child together.
