Charlie Robert Malzahn is an American Criminal known for being the prime suspect in the death of Cathryn Gorospe, a woman who's body was found a week after she had bailed him out of jail. [1]

Malzahn has been to jail on multiple charges including: escape in the first degree; unlawful flight from law enforcement; and resisting arrest.

On October 6th, 2017, after being in prison for some time, Cathryn bailed him out of Coconino County Jail.
Once he was out, police kept a close eye on him and found that he made contacts with people in regards to obtaining drugs and a gun.
On October 7th, police made contact with Malzahn at a shopping mall in regard to some purchases he made with a woman's credit card.
On October 8th, Gorospe's roommate reported her missing.
Tempe police believed Malzhan carjacked a woman in the area of Apache Boulevard and Rural Road at about 10 p.m.
Police said he threatened her with what was believed to be a crowbar.
That vehicle was later recovered.
The same night, Malzahn was spotted inside of the Arizona State University dorm with a female resident who reported that he physically assaulted her, and quickly left the location. [0]

Phoenix police arrested Malzahn in the early morning hours after spotting him in
Gorospe's vehicle at about 1:30 a.m.
During his arrest, he physically assaulted police officers.
He put his cuffs around one officer's head and neck and by fighting with both officers causing injuries to both officers.
A few days later, on Friday evening, Law Enforcement, along with the help of civilians, found Cathryn Gorospe's body in an undisclosed location.
Malzahn's court paperwork states that "Flagstaff police had reason to believe that Charlie Malzahn had committed a homicide."
They opted out of using Gorospe's name and have also decided not to call Malzahn a suspect, rather a lead in their investigation.
