Charles Wade
Charles Curtis Wade is a Black Lives Matter activist and founder of Help or Hush. Wade founded Operation Help or Hush in response to the death of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. In 2014 he helped John Legend and Chrissy Teigen feed protestors. Before becoming an activist Wade was a stylist.
He was voted into Voat's top 100 Black people of 2015.
Allegations
He was arrested on April 26th, 2016 in Maryland on one count of human trafficking and one count of human trafficking for Compensation. Police state that Wade was attempting to traffic a 17-year-old girl for the purpose of prostitution. Wade was bailed out of jail shortly after being arrested and posted a statement on Twitter on May 18, 2016.
Wade claims the girl said she was 20 instead of 17 and that he was trying to help her back on her feet.
When he left her at a hotel room he paid for, she attempted to solicit herself for prostitution and police arrested her.
