On June 11th, 2017, a couple, Lyfe Engelhart and Brandon Vega, were driving on Old Stage road to go hiking in mountains south Colorado Springs when Chad and his wife drove up right behind the couple.
According to Lyfe, Chad was driving up real close near the narrow roads whereas Chad proclaims that they were "slamming on the brakes, drifting around corners, flipping me off".
When the couple parked the car, Chad also parked near them and walked up to Brandon, the motorist, and said, “what the fuck is wrong with you?” Chad begins to complain and yells at Brandon.
He proceeds with landing a quick jab on Brandon, followed by another punch a few seconds later.
The punches that Chad threw caused Brandon to have a busted lip and bloody nose.
During the altercation, Chad says the following: “I don’t care you have the [Subaru] WRX, get the f*&k out of my…you’re a pu**y, I’m a combat veteran... I’m a pychco, bitch… why did you try to ram me off the road faggot?” Such a statement caused an uproar on Facebook as many Army veterans who know Chad claim that he never saw real combat. One infantry soldier who knows Chad said the following, “He was deployed but never saw any combat…. pretty sure he was chaptered out”.
Army Veterans have since taken to Facebook to continue their berating of Chad for his boasting of being a Veteran when he is not.
A Facebook page was created as a result of the statements made by Chad.

He admits that he has anger issues and PTSD he's been trying to work on for years.
