Camila Bernal is an American journalist based in Washington, D.C. She is a national correspondent at CNN's news source where she delivers live English and Spanish language reports and digital content for CNN news source's 1,000+ local news partners.[1]
Education
Bernal graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in mass communication with a concentration in journalism and a minor in international relations. While in school, she was a reporter for the South Florida News Service, covering community news for The Miami Herald, The Sun-Sentinel, and The Palm Beach Post. [1]
Career
Early beginnings
Upon graduating from FIU, Bernal joined Telemundo full time as a news producer in January 2012. She then went on to work at WLRN as a reporter from January 2013 to March 2013.
In May 2013, Bernal was one of 23 young journalists across the country to work alongside reporters and editors from The New York Times and The Boston Globe on stories in Tucson, Arizona and Mexico.
In addition to shooting, writing, and editing her stories for television and digital, she has focused her reporting on immigration, politics, and the oil and gas industry.
