Bucy Radebe (born Phumulani Asnath Radebe; March 16 1987 in Maboloka) is a South African singer. The talented singer has always had a ‘deep and enduring’ love for music and dates back to her young days.[1]
Age
The songbird’s date of birth is on 16 March 1987 and the place of birth is at Maboloka near Brits in North-West. Bucy Radebe is 33 years old and celebrates her birthday on the 16th of March.[2]
Family
Bucy relocated to Soshanguve located in the north of Pretoria and was raised under the care of a single mother Mme Esther Radebe.
Later, her family called her Bucy and the people in the entertainment industry adopted the name.
That was how the stage name ‘Bucy Radebe’ came to be.[3]
Album
The South African gospel singer delivered a new 2020 studio project and she titled it Spiritual Encounter. The Album contains 17 songs with singles including Thuma Mina and Worrier’s Medley.[4]
Career
Her family influenced her love for singing and Bucy began to sing when she was 3 years old. Being born into a musical family, when she was 10 years old, she joined Mafumbuka primary school choral choir (1997).
Upon completing her primary school she furthered her academic pursuit at the Botse Botse high school.
There, her love for music waxed strong.
She joined AFM, House of Praise in Mabopane, her church youth choir and was active in all music activities in the church.
Bucy in 2007, joined Kopano Chorus, and the next year in 2008, she joined Opera Africa.
She did productions including Aida, Princess Magogo, La-Bohem, La-Traviata, Carmen, Requiem CMass, and Ziyankomo.
