Bruce Van Horn is an American Business coach, Speaker, Life coach, and Author known for being a cancer survivor and sharing his passion for running marathons. He is also the host of “Life Is A Marathon,” a popular internet radio show (podcast) with listeners in over 190 countries around the world.

Biography

Early Life

Bruce Van Horn (Speaker) was born and raised in the state of Virginia and has lived there for most of his life. He also grew up in the city of Midlothian. He currently lives in Richmond. [1] He graduated high school in 1982.

After high school, he committed to University of Mary Washington where he studied and received his Bachelor of Art in English language and Literature. He also studied Creative writing. He graduated in 1986.

Career

Horn is an entrepreneur who has been working in the Technology industry for a number of years. In 2003 he co-founded a company called CompanyBE, which is a cloud based software which was designed and built in direct response to the challenge of running a small business more efficiently and effectively.

While he is a business owner and one of the executives at his company, he is also a motivational speaker.

He has given talks around the country.

Horn is also a radio host of a n internet show called "Life is a Marathon", that also acts as a podcast.

The show is broadcasted and listened by millions of people in about 190 countries.

Personal Life

Cancer

Van Horn is a survivor of stage 4 Prostate cancer which he beat in 2014.

Marathon Runner

Besides being a business coach and motivational speaker, he has also been a marathon runner for a number of years.

Marathons is one of the biggest passions of Van Horn and often discusses how running has helped his life.

Family

He had a wife whom he lost to severe mental illness.

He also lost a daughter too.

Although he lost his wife and daughter, he still lives with his two sons in Virginia.
